CSAT (Customer Satisfaction Score) A metric used to measure how satisfied customers are with a specific interaction or overall experience. It’s typically measured by asking a question like, “How satisfied were you with your experience?” on a numerical scale.
CX (Customer Experience) The overall perception a customer has of a company or its brand, based on all of their interactions across the entire customer journey.

Deflection Rate (or Ticket Deflection Rate) The percentage of customer support inquiries that are resolved without needing intervention from a human agent. This is typically achieved through self-service options like a knowledge base or an effective chatbot.

FCR (First Contact Resolution) A metric that measures the percentage of customer inquiries that are resolved during the very first interaction, without the need for follow-up. A high FCR rate is a strong indicator of an efficient and effective support team.

Generative AI A type of artificial intelligence that can create new and original content, such as text, images, or code, based on the data it was trained on. In customer care, it’s used to generate human-like, conversational responses.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) A comprehensive data protection and privacy law in the European Union that governs how companies collect, use, and process the personal data of EU citizens.
